My girls come running the second they hear the bag crinkle, and they’ll dig straight through the whole grain pieces to get every last berry crumb. It’s been a week and the mix still smells fresh, no mustiness at all.
The berries actually stay intact in the mix instead of turning to mush, which my girls love picking out first. The whole grains give it a nice crunch that keeps them busy for a good ten minutes.
My hens usually ignore treats that look too processed, but they went straight for this mix and even the pickiest one kept scratching for the whole grain chunks. I like that it’s a berry blend, so they’re getting something a little different from their regular feed.
