Need a little something to perk up your animal’s hay appetite? To keep things interesting, Small Pet Select's gourmet hay is a great addition to your rotation. Serve on its own, or mix it with your animal’s regular hay. Remember, our little animals naturally eat a wide variety of grasses, so they sure appreciate variety. "Oh, what's this new texture? Mmmmm, different taste, too. Is this what love feels like?!”

We've loaded up several kinds of hay with sweet-smelling herbs and flowers to make it an absolutely irresistible treat (as well as great varied nutrition). If a famous chef made a hay mix, this would be it. Julia Child would have asked us for the recipe. The additional herbs are the perfect addition to ensuring your rabbit gets additional nutrients and vitamins in their diet.

If you’re wondering how gourmet hay compares to other types of hay, we’re here to help. We explain many of the different types of hay here, but to summarize, the most common types are Timothy hay (1st, 2nd, and 3rd cutting), alfalfa hay, orchard hay, and oat hay. Different types of hay have different characteristics, so it’s important to understand the profiles of each to meet your pet’s needs.

Small Pet Select knows hay. Inside and out. We have close relationships with many hay farmers in Washington State, and with more than 30 years of connections, you’re getting the best of the best. We personally choose the hay we like. We go to the fields, see the hay and smell the fresh crop. We hand pack each and every box that’s shipped to our customers. Our eyes are on everything… from the field to your door. We work hard to keep you as happy with us as your animal is with our products. Happy animals = happy parents. And we love that.

The texture and variety keep her interested all day, and I love that I can serve it alone or blend it with her regular hay for a little excitement. It’s become a st

I grabbed this to rotate into my bunny’s daily bowl, and the texture is noticeably fluffier and more fragrant than my usual plain hay. She’s been digging through it first every morning, which says a lot for a fussy eater. Mixing it with her regular batch keeps the whole thing interesting without was

My rabbit is a picky eater and usually leaves hay untouched, but this gourmet mix had her digging in right away. I love that I can serve it alone or blend it into her regular rotation to keep meals interesting.
